Dwarka Expressway service roads 70% complete, GMDA targets September

GMDA said work on the service roads alongside Dwarka Expressway was 70 per cent complete in early June, with the aim of finishing by September. The Rs 99 crore project, launched in March 2024, covers 27 km of 7.5-metre-wide two-lane service roads on both sides, with entry and exit points to the main expressway.
RCC box drains are also part of the work to prevent waterlogging, and 16.5 km of drain has been built so far. GMDA executive engineer Abhinav Verma said all efforts were being made to complete the work by September.
For residents and buyers in the sectors along the expressway, proper service roads mean safer local access and less reliance on the main carriageway, which should make daily life in these new societies easier.
